Frequently asked question

[1] I’d like a program created or a technical question answered. How does Global Developers help me?
Global Developers provides a platform for buyers like you to locate experienced programmers from around the globe quickly and efficiently. You just enter your program or question, along with the maximum you are willing to pay, and programmers will bid down the price in order to earn your business.

You can quickly view the qualifications and resume of each programmer who bids on your project as well as their approval rating from previous buyers.

[2] I want to sign in as a buyer, Do I need to pay any registration fees or service charges to GlobalDevelopers?
There are no fess or service charges for buyers but there is a charge at the developers end depending on the type of project.

[3] How do I make the payments to the developer?
After you accept a bid from the developer, you need to escrow the bid amount to GlobalDevelopers.net by depositing the money into your account through the available methods of payment.

When developers completes the project and you have received the deliverables and approve them you can set complete that project through the Buyer Control panel and the amount is automatically released to the developer. This guarantees that the developer will work his or her hardest to get you the results that you asked for.

[4] How are buyers and developers disputes handled (adjudication)?
Most transactions are completed harmoniously, but every now and then a buyer and a developer may not come to an agreement. If this happens to you then you can simply request Global Developers adjudications team to determine if the contract was met or not. The contract was met or not is determined by the conversations held through Globaldevelopers.net and not anything held outside through the contact details.

[5] What if I don’t know what is the maximum amount sufficient for the project?
If you are unsure of how much your problem or question is worth, you can leave the bid blank and programmers will suggest different bid amounts to you.

[6] What is Mediation/Adjudication?
Mediation is an optional 'first stage' of the adjudication process mentioned above. While adjudication is like a trial, mediation is like a negotiation and often results in both parties coming away with something positive. In mediation, Global Developers works with both parties to negotiate terms such that both parties are willing to change some portion of the contract (which includes changing the price, scope or perhaps even cancelling the work). Mediation is also used if the two parties have conducted their own private mediation, but neglected to document it on the site. In this case, Global Developers merely uses it to get both parties to formally agree to the new terms in a legally binding manner.

[7] I am a programmer. How does “GlobalDevelopers.net” help me?
Global Developers allows you to cash in on your areas of expertise.  It automatically notifies you of new programs and questions in your areas of interest and expertise.  You can then bid on the ones you are interested in. You decide on the amount you are willing to charge.

After the customer reviews and accepts your bid, you create the program or answer the question. When you’re finished, and the buyer accepts, you are awarded the bid amount.

[8] What are the registration and service charges for the developers?
There are NO registration charges for developers. GlobalDevelopers.net charges to developers a Global Developers Fee of 10% of the final bid for securing the work/question (minimum $2). (note: the GlobalDevelopers.net Fee is reduced for one-on-one auctions as well as direct payment auction.)

The GlobalDevelopers.net Fees and your end profit are conveniently calculated and displayed for you whenever you confirm a bid.

[9] How and when do I get paid?
Once the buyer accepts your bid, GlobalDevelopers keeps his or her money in an escrow account, for safekeeping.  After you deliver the product and they acknowledge that they received everything, you will be credited with the escrow amount minus the GlobalDevelopers.net finders fee.  All credits accumulate in your account and you can request a withdraw. After verification of your request it will be paid to you with your preferred method of payment.

[10] How do I boost my chances of getting a bid accepted to buyers??
You can do this via your registered profile.  Here are some typical things you can do to get more bid acceptances:

Key Skills ► Key Programming Skill
General Discription ► General Description about your services
Key areas of expertise ► Key areas of expertise and projects undertaken in some languages
Terms, Turnaround time and Other business issues ► Maximum time you take to respond to mails or any other terms.
Working Hours ► How many hours you can work for the next project
Other Comments ► Any other comments you would like to make a note of.

The key is to be very specific in details you gve to buyers about their programs and your skills. This makes them appreciate that you truly understand their requirements.
